…I decided to do the bathroom. … It’s really hard to believe that it’s the same room. I love it!…

…In Nov 07 I decided that I was going to tackle the living room & family room. I was tired of being “in the dark”. I washed, primed & painted the paneling in an off white. I had been looking at the PI off and on for a few weeks but just couldn’t make a decision. I decided that AFTER painting one of the walls I wanted to redo it using the PI. I used Hearthstone Cream & Bone- and then another wall and another…

…My next project is going to be either the spare bedroom or the master bath- I have a new addiction — PI. I have told the gals at work about this and I am taking in a piece of primed plywood some PI and doing a crash course at work. :) ” - Vickie

My mom also lives in a manufactered home and just did her bathroom. I was wondering how the paper illusions holds up under the moist conditions of a smaller bathroom? I have PI in several areas of my home but not a bathroom that has a shower. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Can this be used over a wallpapered wall that has been painted?

Sally, if the wallpapered wall is in a fabricated home…meaning the wall itself is wallpaper…not wallpaper over sheetrock, then you should be able to paper illusion over the painted surface as long as you prime it first with a *wallpaper primer*.

If however, the paint is over wallpaper that has been applied to the wall, I personally would recommend removing the wallpaper first. The Paper Illusion will only be as secure to the wall as the initial layer of wallpaper is. If the first layer of wallpaper is unremovable, then, sure go ahead paper illusion over it. But if there’s a chance of it peeling off, then I would remove it and start with a fresh slate.

No matter what you decide, always start by priming the surface with a wallpaper primer. Good luck!
